About KDs
KDs is a celebration of Latvian culture in Australia.

The Australian Latvian Arts Festival is the main celebration of the Latvian community and has occurred since 1951. Initially the Festival was held annually, and from 2002, the Arts Festival has occurred every other year, alternating with the Latvian Youth Festival. The 2023 Arts Festival will be the 59th such festival.

 A wide range of cultural events are celebrated, including new, traditional, Australian and Latvian music and art, including productions of song, dance, theatre and music, and also visual and applied arts. The coming together of artists, performers and audiences, making new friendships and renewing old ones, is part of the joy of the Arts Festival.
